Day 38: Second take was worth it!

(download)
Too late, I realized my internal microphone had been recording what I was playing. So I had to scrap the first completely un-listen-able song from today and record this one, instead, which turned out to be much darker. Maybe because I felt sad my first recording was botched. Regardless, score yet another one for the snowball mic!

Day 36: Unique moments for a post-couch tune.

This cold has been kicking my ass up one side of my holiday and down the other. Definitely just wanted to stay snuggled under the comforter in my robe on the couch and keep watching a wild horses documentary on NOVA but for the sake of the experiment, I ponied up (pun!) and played anyway. Luckily it turned out average as far as my compositions go because I really thought this dude might end up stale.

Day 32: Cold be damned, the piano is medicine.

Got back from teaching aerobics (potentially bad idea with the achiness), hot shower, dinner, played a couple epic levels of World of Goo, then felt more like loading up on the Nyquil and calling it a day rather than sitting down at the piano. Glad I fought the urge to check out for the night though, because I actually feel BETTER having created this little buddy. Hot damn!

Day 31: Gave in, damp eyes followed.

Maybe it was the extra glass of wine tonight over a nice dinner with loved ones, but giving into the piano tonight was *way* easy. My eyes were welling with random tears for a moment before I remembered where I was and what I was doing. That moment was a good one.

New favorite creation!
